Grassroots Soccer to receive $5,000 for Every Goal Thierry Henry Scores in 2013
Goldman Sachs and Thierry Henry have announced an investment with the charity Grassroot Soccer.
The former barcelona and arsenal striker will for the the remainder of this season donate $5,000 for every goal He scores and $2,500 for every assist he provides to Grass Root Soccer – a charity
that combats the spread of AIDS in developing nations through the power of football.
“Grassroot Soccer is all about using role models and the power of soccer to motivate and educate young people on how to live healthy lives,” said Gregg Lemkau, Goldman Sachs Managing Director and GRS Global Board member in a statement. “Thierry Henry is not only a soccer star but a great role model for young people around the world. Goldman Sachs Gives and GRS are excited to turn his skills on the field into tangible life skills for young people.”
