Yes, It Is Official, Nigeria Now Has The Largest Economy In Africa

I got an un-official tip-off few days ago that come today, sunday Nigeria will be declared the largest economy in Africa and The Statistician-General of Nigeria, Dr. Yemi Kale,
announced that Nigeria's GDP for 2013 stands at $510bn, making it the largest economy in Africa and 26th in the world.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala speaks on the new GDP.

But my question is, what effect will this have on the vast poverty rate growing rapidly in the country?
