Some of the governors who arrived yesterday Sunday, took advantage of their early arrival to get support for their states from Bill Gates, World’s richest man.
The governors are meeting with the White House/President Obama; US Congressional Leaders; National Intelligence Council; Gates Foundation; EU and US Developmental agencies and others.
According to the letter of invitation extended to the participating Northern Governors, the organisers stated that the talk-shop “Will Provide important opportunity for Nigerian governors to inform and discuss with the US government officials on current economic, social and security challenges in the region”.
