Accra Goes Dry Following Burst Pipeline

It has been a big challenge leaving in Ghana for the past 5-10 months, Inflation has hit the country so hard that this month, your utility bill is $40, the next month you get to pay $60 over the same consumption.

Now you face Light-off frequently and before you know it you have to buy a bag of pure water for $1.5 just to take a shower (if you are a student) or pay for water delivery just because of one issue or the other.

Recently there has been water shortage in Accra and some residents are compelled to walk long distances, while others join long winding queues at various places for water.

This shortage started last Thursday, although the situation might improve today, as officials of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) were seen feverishly replacing an HDPE pipe along the transmission line from the Weija Water Treatment Plant to the Awoshie Water Works according to Daily Graphic who visited the place yesterday.

I hope for the sake of all, they keep to their word as well as finding a permanent solution to this.....

Ezy said so........
