Diego Maradona’s relationship with girlfriend Rocío Oliva is again front page news in Argentina this week.

Weeks after video emerged showing Maradona hitting his ex-fiancé Rocio Oliva, the Argentine legend has once again been recorded with his hands all over his partner.

This time, however, Maradona was getting far more physical with his 24-year-old partner in a swimming pool.

The pictures seem to be showing that all is now well again with Diego’s relationship with Rocío, and the images have gone viral as many react by calling Maradona a dirty old man.

The 30,000 – capacity venue, with a bullet –proof State Box that has 70 seats, has been described by the Vice President of Ghana Football Association, Mr. Fred Crentsil (who was sent by CAF to inspect the venue) as being “among the best you can find anywhere in the world.”

The event which kicked off with a lot of cultural displays, dance and the appearance of various artistes including Tiwa Savage, Kaycee among others. An international friendly warm-up game between Nigeria and Ghana U-23 Olympic team climaxed activities at the commissioning ceremony with Nigeria running away with a narrow one goal victory. They lifted the Transformation Cup for the victory.

The African football governing body has given its consent for the new stadium in Uyo to host the final Afcon qualifying game between the Super Eagles & Bafana Bafana on November 19

The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Nigeria and South Africa will take place at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo, after the representative of the Confederation of African Football (Caf) gave the new edifice a pass mark.

Nigeria on Thursday escaped the wrath of FIFA as Justice Ambrose Allagoa of the Federal High court sitting in Jos, Plateau State on Thursday withdrew the suit filed against the Nigeria Football Federation by the Chris Giwa-led board. FIFA had given Nigeria Thursday to put its football house in order or be banned, which may not be reviewed until the board meeting in May next year.

Sad news today as South Africa football captain Senzo Meyiwa got shot in Johannesburg only hours after playing a match, police have said in a statement.

Meyiwa, who played for Orlando Pirates, was shot dead when intruders entered his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus, a town 20 miles south of Johannesburg. According to the South African Police Service, two men entered the house, around 20:00 (18:00GMT), while a third man remained outside.

All three fled after shots were fired, in what local media reports say was an attempted burglary. The South African goalkeeper was reportedly shot in the chest at his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus.

'We can confirm that Bucs (Pirates) keeper Senzo Meyiwa has been shot and sadly declared dead on arrival at hospital,' the South African Police Service (SAPS) said on its twitter feed.

His club said in a statement:

Footballers in the habit of somersaulting on the pitch after netting a goal need to read this: A young footballer has lost his life in India’s north-east after injuring his spinal cord while celebrating a goal he had scored, newspapers reported on Monday. Peter Biaksangzuala, 23, fell backwards on his head as he took a series of somersaults after scoring the equaliser for his team in a local match in Khawzawl town close to India’s eastern border with Myanmar last Tuesday, the Times of India said.
