Gh¢5 to $1: That's True Value of Ghana Cedi - Dalex Boss

Culled from: MyJoyOnline

Ghana’s economic woes will not end, unless the local currency is allowed to depreciate to its rightful value, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dalex Finance and Leasing Company, Mr Kenneth Kwamina Thompson has said.

The current value of the cedi to the United States (US) dollar, according to Mr Thompson, is far from its true value.

“The cedi will fall; it should be allowed to fall because any actions we take to stop the fall of the local currency are only short term,” he said.

“The true value of the cedi may be GHc 5 to $1,” he stated.

Efforts by the Central Bank to stem the cedi’s depreciation will not suffice rather, they will worsen the situation, he said.

Blaming the cedi’s predicament on what he called Ghana’s addiction to foreign goods, Mr Thompson warned that “any attempt to combat our addiction to foreign goods and services using restrictions and bans is doomed to fail.”

Rather, the BoG will end up creating a parallel market, and business wiH engage in all sorts of underground activities which will compound the already bad situation.

Mr Thompson was delivering a lecture organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) in Accra last Thursday.

Speaking on the topic ‘In a Volatile Economy, Fortes fortuna Adiuvat’, Mr Thompson likened Ghana’s economy to an alcoholic who is addicted to “Apio or vodka.”

Explaining the evidence of an addiction to foreign goods, the Dalex boss revealed that the cedi had between 1998 and 2006 depreciated by 309% while between 1998 and 2014 the currency had fallen by 963%.

He expressed disappointment over the fact that “whereas other countries are trying to devalue their currency to make their exports cheaper, we seem to take pride in keeping it at an artificial level which is unsustainable.”

“If the cedi falls, our exports become cheaper, so technically we can sell more and help create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth,” he maintained.

The market, according to him, will always win.

Mr Thompson recommended a return to some of the best economic policies taken in the past, pointing out that those simple polices worked perfectly to place Ghana on a right footing.

“There are a number of things that we did in the past that we have to look at again. We have to do import substitution, export promotion and we should give incentives to our own people to grow their businesses,” he stated.

Opoku Ware Senior High School Sextape Leaks In Kumasi

Exclusive video available to OMGGHANA.COM captures three senior high school students from Kumasi in a sex scandal. The names of the two boys and the girl due to police investigations cannot be revealed now. The first of the not-so appetizing video of about two minutes sees one of the boys bonking the girl whilst the other fellow videos it. In the same video, one could hear the two guys laughing and giggling whilst the girl stayed cool for the guy to bonk her.

The shocking aspect of this whole leaked tape is when the girl knew she was being recorded whilst the guy had sex with her but laid down to receive the exercise as though she has been paid to act in a blue movie. In the second leaked video of about a minute and above, the girl is seen sucking the tinny dick of one of the guys involved in the scandal. From the looks of the girl’s facial expression, the decision of the boys for her to lick their ‘mandigo’ wasn’t liked but after the guys convinced her, she decided to do it. After giving one of the guys a blowjob about some seconds, she started to vomit but the guys wanted to force her to continue.

According to our investigation, the two guys are students from Opoku Ware Senior High school and the girl a first year students St. Louis Senior High School. They made mention of their schools in the video where one guy said, ‘The moment you enter Opoku Ware secondary school, evil spirit enters you’ he said so in Twi. We further found out that these are not the only scandals the two boys have engaged in, there are other videos the guys have shot whilst having an intercourse with ladies. The photo you see above is a shot from the video and faces have been blurred for security reasons.

Ugandan President’s Daughter Reveals She is Gay

According to my source,
In a startling revelation, the daughter of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni admitted today during a radio talk show in Mbarara, in Western Uganda that she is homosexual, and that she is revealing this fact as a protest to the anti-gay law her father signed only a few days ago.

Diana Kamuntu, Museveni’s daughter said that though she loves her father unconditionally, she does not agree with Uganda’s anti-gay stance, and will fight against it.

“I am gay, I am homosexual. I have known this since I was a little girl. Also, I have been Christian all of my life, so I will not tolerate any law of this supposedly democratic nation, that will place hate on any person just because of what his or her sexual orientation happens to be,” said Kamuntu.

“Now that I finally revealed my sexual orientation, I put myself in front of this new law and I will let our people decide what to do with me,” Kamuntu adds, as her voice breaks down while on air.

The radio host, James Kasirivu noticeably was in shock, and could not seemingly get words out of his mouth.

The live radio broadcast was abruptly shortened and was put off air after a few hours of repeated commercials.

In the latest setback for homosexuals across Africa, the Ugandan President signed a law Monday that imposes tough penalties for homosexual acts, a move that has been condemned from around the world and that may jeopardize Uganda’s relationship with the United States and other Western nations.

As of this writing, neither the radio station nor the office of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni could be reach
