Nokia confirms BBM is coming to Lumia devices

On stage at Nokia's press event at Mobile World Congress, Stephen Elop confirmed that BBM will be coming to Lumia devices.

He didn't go into detail with a release date or if this means it will come to all Windows Phone devices (which, I'd assume it will), but at least this is finally confirmation that BBM4ALL really is on its way to becoming BBM4ALL. We'll follow up with more details as we have them.

Caring For Your Partner During Pregnancy

Although the nine months of pregnancy can be a joyous time for expectant mothers, it can also be a very emotional and stressful time too, which it is important that they get plenty of support from their partners and loved ones.

Pregnancy is a stage of life in which women are affected significantly by hormones generated in their bodies as a result of the child’s growth. These hormones subject women to different bodily changes and conjure a multitude of conflicting emotions of which they have little or no control over. As a result of this, it is important that expectant mothers get as much support and understanding as possible from their medical care provider, their loved ones and partners.

Understanding

To be able to care adequately for a pregnant woman, partners need an understanding of the different stages of pregnancy. Pregnancy experiences may not necessarily be the same for all women: some maintain sturdiness throughout gestation, while others feel sickly due to changes, which can lead to nausea, excessive weight increase and other health risks.

The first pregnancy stage is one in which many women suffer from nausea or “morning sickness.” In the second stage, most women become acclimatised to their condition and are able to control their nausea. Even though some difficulties (for instance: weight gain) still exist, they can be well-managed. The third stage, however, is the last of the three, ushering in the delivery of a newborn baby.

Supporting your partner during pregnancy

Generally, a partner is expected to be available to help at the various times of need in pregnancy. This will involve planning a personal schedule that allows for as much quality time with the expectant mother as possible.

While a loving presence does not necessarily guarantee an easy pregnancy, it certainly goes a long way in helping an expectant mother to relax. It is also important to talk to expectant mothers about their feelings and the changes they are going through, this will let them know that you are interested in their condition and make them feel loved.

Gov Akpabio Preaches Greatness, Makes Case For Leaders

Akwa Ibom Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio says the foundation and source of every true greatness is God, urging Nigerians to always remember Him as they climb the ladder of success.

Akpabio, who gave this charge Sunday at a special thanksgiving marking the elevation of Honourable Justice John Inyang Okoro to Supreme Court of Nigeria at The Apostolic Church, Akpan Essien Lane in Uyo, noted, “You have done the right thing by coming back to Him and to say thank you Lord. Because you have remembered him, God will continue to have you in mind.

The Governor, who observed "This is lesson for your children and your grand-children that they must always remember God. My dear children of Akwa Ibom State learn something from this event today that the foundation of greatness is God”, thanked God for the elevation of another Akwa Ibom son as Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria many years after the late Justice Udo Udoma.

According to him, “From the day of his appointment, my mouth was very tight but inside my heart, I will continue to say thank you God. It goes that without God, you will not be standing here today. I want to congratulate you not just for the appointment but for the fact that you remember the foundation and the foundation is this altar. Even without knowing about the history that you are the only one still in judicial service among your peers, it is God who wanted to show that you are a special child and that He is with you and he will continue to be with you.”

Akpabio prayed that the will of God be done in the life of the Justice and his family, and said “May God be with you. In your going out and coming in, may God be with you. In your judgment in the Supreme Court, may God be with you. Do not be too busy to find time for God, try every morning to say God be with me”.

Justice Okoro while thanking God for his elevation had commended President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Akpabio for facilitating the process of his appointment as the Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

According to him, “it has not been easy for me to grow from the Magistracy to the High Court, the Court of Appeal to the Supreme Court. In 1986, we were five lawyers who were appointed magistrates in Cross Rivers State, five of us were sworn in by the Chief Judge of Cross Rivers State, the late Justice Edem Koofreh.

“Out of that five, I am the only one standing like this. Two died violently, the other died after a protracted illness and the other one was retired prematurely. Three are dead, one was retired and I am the only on standing out of that five. It is the Lord! So what do I do? Nothing, it is the mercy of God. That is why I come here to thank God because I could have been one of them,” he said.

I Regret Not Winning CAF Player Of The Year Award – Okocha

Nigerian football legend Jay Jay Okocha has revealed that one of his big regrets was a failure to win the coveted CAF Player of the Year prize. Okocha famously finished as runner-up in 1998 and 2004 behind Mustapha Hadji and Samuel Eto’o despite being favourite to win the award on both occasions and the 1994 African champion has revealed getting recognition from many other quarters made up for missing out on the coveted prize.

Speaking at a fans interaction forum hosted by Western Union as part of their activities as Global Partners of the Europa League, Okocha said: “I definitely regret not winning the CAF Player of the Year award. I hoped to win while I was a professional but thing don’t always go your way. My source of pride, regardless of what happened with CAF, is that I got awards and recognition from others asides CAF.”

Ever so modest, Okocha also hinted that the reason for his failure to win the award was probably the plethora of quality footballers in his generation. “My generation had a lot of great footballers and the competition was very high. I feel privileged to have played in the same period as some of these greats and if I did not win the award, it is because someone else did,” Okocha said. “Saying I don’t regret not winning the CAF Player of the Year award will be a lie but a bigger regret is that I cannot come out of retirement to try again!” he joked.

Jay Jay Okocha was speaking at a fans’ interaction forum hosted by Western Union, Global Partners of the Europa League, in Frankfurt.
