A US dad called out police to supervise him giving a punishment smacking to his daughter to make sure he didn't break the law.

The dad wanted to discipline the 12-year-old for getting into a heated argument with her sister, MirrorUK reports. An officer went to the family's home to watch the youngster being spanked on the bottom by her dad.

And Sheriff Noel Stephen from Okeechobee, Florida, revealed that it was not the first time the Sheriff's Office had been asked to be present. He said that he has personally supervised approximately 12 spankings where the parent has been worried about being accused of child abuse.
